Since the ancient times the enchanted fire's light
Was the only protection in this haunted night
When the beings that once were lurking in the dark
Wake up so that they can leave the secret forest's heart
They must be kept enthralled by the flames
So that they'll leave behind their wrath and hate
The distant howls of wolves and the screams of circling crows
Accompany the wandering of restless souls
As bloodred moon shows itself when clouds move aside
It shrouds the world in its cold and otherworldly shine
Bonfire must be set up for the honour of the dead
So that they'll return back to their peaceful rest
Deep in the woods a fire lit up in the name
Of creatures that now gather up to dance around its flames
Folk of the forest crawl out from their hidden caves
While ancient spirits rise up from their long-forgotten graves
As the presence of gods is shown through raging wind and pouring rain
I can feel the blood of my ancestors running wildly through my veins
For once they explored this land and fought for ages to make it thrive
So nothing can waver our will to defend this all with honour and pride
The magic of this night has given us new hope
That like our forebears we'll defeat our foes
The darkness in the woods awakens our inner beasts
And the calling of the moonlight will make them all unleashed
We have gained the ancient fire's might
Inside our hearts flares its eternal light

Hidden Lakeside Feast
04:43
|
|||
The moment when the day begins to turn into a night
The sun starts to fall down below the treeline
It lays its golden light all over the fields
Where the hay swings in the autumn's gentle breeze
Where northern lands extend far beyond what eyes can see
Horizon is painted with the colours of the leaves
The nature is as mighty as once in distant past
It makes one wish that it would forever last
As I wander through the woods I can hear those cheerful calls
Echoing from a feast at a nearby lake's shore
Out of curiosity I walk towards this scene
Unknown but friendly folk offer me a pint of mead
I'm invited to stay and the time really flies
Suddenly I realize it's almost night
I have been away already a long while
But before I leave I'll drink one last pint
The world surrounding me seems vague as from a dream
I start to hear whispers of spiritual entities
I wonder as these experiences are beyond belief
If I have begun to drift away from the earthly reality
So join us and fill your horns and pints with beer and mead
Our chant echoes through night in the hidden lakeside feast
The sun is now completely hidden below the fields
And folk's behaviour changes from what it used to be
Their speech is slow with a voice that's oddly deep
In their eyes is shimmering an inhuman gleam
Has nightfall distorted the familiar view?
I'm handed a chalice filled with a drink of deep red hue
I don't hesitate but accept it with open arms
'Cause I don't want to sober up before the break of dawn
Skål!
Those who have been gone for long have returned tonight
They've risen from below to celebrate for one last time
My mind feels vague as I'd awakened from a dream
I can no longer sense the presence of the spiritual beings
I wonder as these experiences were beyond belief
If I have now returned back to the earthly reality

Cold Autumnal Winds
06:03
|
|||
In the lands covered
By the morning mist
The leaves of trees
Turning into fire
The autumn is creeping
Closer like a ghost
As its first sign
These cold autumnal winds
The darkening evenings and the cold morning's dawn
Following the frost left by night
The fall of the leaves makes the forest look weakened
Look more dark and dead
With the cold winds
Arrive thousand stars
To light the journey of the one
Who has to be gone
When the autumn has come
Disappear along the winds
Wither away guided by
The autumnal cold
